However, you are certainly right in saying that the potential for Adobe AIR on the PC is equal if not greater than that of Silverlight.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>You mention Silverlight as a potential desktop RIA environment for the PC but didn't mention the greater potential for Adobe AIR. AIR is essentially Flash for the desktop. It will soon be used on far more platforms than Silverlight. ActionScript is already a widely used language. Flash's speedy distribution history leads me to believe that within one or two years, most of us will have AIR installed. 

Besides, nobody wants to download another plugin from Microsoft. Well mostly nobody.</description>
